CONCEPT

The Bionic Cap pushes Voitech®’s hardware-driven headwear language to its extreme. Inspired by industrial carabiner systems and mechanical locking mechanisms, the cap transforms the visor into a functional exoskeletal component. The integrated chrome carabiner becomes both a sculptural anchor point and a symbolic interface — a collision of apparel and engineered equipment. It’s not just a cap; it's a wearable tool.

ENGINEERING

Constructed from a dense technical twill, the Bionic Cap maintains a clean, minimal crown structure that contrasts sharply against the oversized metal component mounted through the brim. The chrome carabiner is secured via reinforced internal bracing to protect the cap’s structure while allowing real load-bearing capability. Stitch mapping around the visor stabilises the curvature despite the added weight, ensuring comfort and balance.

A rear Voitech® jacquard strap provides adjustable fit, while internal panel taping prevents distortion from the hardware integration. The result is a cap that feels engineered — rigid where needed, flexible where it counts.
